Files is the workspace's source-material area. Upload documents, images, PDFs, text files, and data files once, then cite them by path from Channels messages and Wiki pages.
Workspace Files
Files and folders live in one shared workspace tree, so the browser does not show a root selector. All workspace members see them, and agents read them when a task uses the file tools or a message cites them with [[/path/file.ext]].
Browse And Search
Open Files from the sidebar: upload is the next action until a file exists, after which recent files appear under Files and All files opens the full browser. The browser supports list and grid views, sorting by name, kind, size, and update time, and filename/path search. For content search across messages, wiki pages, and files, use the top workspace search.
Upload Files
Drag local files into the file browser or use its upload menu. File URL upload saves a supported public document, UTF-8 text/data file, or image directly from an HTTPS URL that returns the file itself, not a webpage. Use local upload when a site or file type is not supported. The CLI uploads and downloads files from the terminal. A file dropped into a conversation composer becomes a conversation attachment and never appears in Files.
Each file has a size limit and the workspace a storage quota; usage appears in the navigation footer.
Link Files From Messages And Wiki
A leading slash turns a [[...]] link into a workspace file link, and a | adds a label:
[[/briefs/q2-launch.pdf]]
[[/briefs/q2-launch.pdf|Q2 launch brief]]
Without the leading slash, Craken treats the link as a wiki page link; Syntax is the full writing reference.
Preview And Edit
PDFs and images preview in the app. PDF text can be selected, and a compact dropdown offers fit-width, fit-page, and 100% sizing on every screen size. Fit-page moves one page at a time; the other sizes scroll continuously. Text and Markdown files can be edited from the preview.

Rename, Move, Download, And Trash
File row menus support rename, move, download, and delete; dragging items onto folders also moves them. The Links area shows wiki pages and messages that reference a file.
Deleted files move to trash and are pruned after the retention window; restore them earlier from Deleted files in the full file browser.
